Cheesy Garlic Bread

Cheesy Garlic Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of Italian or French bread

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Grated Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)


Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Slice the loaf of bread in half horizontally to create two long halves.

  3. In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using). Mix until well combined.

  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut side of each bread half.

  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the garlic butter on both bread halves.

  6. Optionally, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the mozzarella cheese.

  7. Place the bread halves, cheese side up, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the bread is golden brown and crispy on the edges.

  9. Remove the cheesy garlic bread from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

  10. Slice the garlic bread into individual servings and serve warm.

  11. Enjoy your cheesy garlic bread as a delicious side dish or appetizer with your favorite pasta or soup!
