Classic Ham and Swiss Sandwich
Ingredients:
2 slices of sandwich bread (sourdough, whole wheat, or your choice)
2-3 slices of cooked ham
2 slices of Swiss cheese
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
Instructions:
Spread the Dijon mustard on one slice of bread and the mayonnaise on the other slice.
Layer the cooked ham slices on one slice of bread.
Place the Swiss cheese slices on top of the ham.
Place the other slice of bread on top to form a sandwich.
Spread the softened butter on the outside of the sandwich.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.
Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Once cooked, remove the sandwich from the skillet and let it cool for a minute before slicing it in half.
Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Classic Ham and Swiss Sandwich!
